What is the best way to maintain a set of previously recorded
keystroke sequences? I constantly make use of the record
feature within one vi session. But some of the sequences I'd
like to preserve. I realize they get saved in a named register,
but that register will get overwritten over time, and I have
need to recall previous instances of the register.

I typically use register 'q'. I suppose I could just use 'q' for my
temporary recordings, and reserve other letters for my 'library'.

Just wondering if there's another approach to this.

Thanks,
