Recent problem (didn't happen a week ago). Since then I have upgraded to
patchlevel 7.1.99 and uncommented #define FEAT_XTERM_SAVE in src/feature.h

gvim 7.1.099 (Gnome2/Huge)
macros/matchit.vim 1.13 for Vim 6.3+ (Wed Aug 29 05:00 PM 2007 EDT)
ftplugin/html.vim dated 2006 Apr 26

Hitting % goes forward from <tag> to </tag>, but not vice-versa. Hitting % on
the insides of a closing tag goes to the opening < of the same tag.

Tested on </HTML> </DIV> </H4> et al. in
http://users.skynet.be/antoine.mechelynck/vim/C7_20.htm

See also http://users.skynet.be/antoine.mechelynck/vim/bugreport.txt obtained
immediately after startup of "gview C7_20.htm".

Best regards,
Tony.
