As Ben Schmidt mentioned in his reply, the support for the tab page variables (t:) already exists in Vim. This patch adds functions to get and set these variables for any tab page. OTOH, as the support for file type variables is not currently present in Vim, it will be a much bigger change to add support for them. - Yegappan > Best regards, > > ---Zdenek > >> -----Original Message----- >> From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On >> Behalf Of Yegappan Lakshmanan >> Sent: 12 June 2008 09:17 >> To: [email protected] >> Subject: Patch to support setting tab page variables >> >> Hi all, >> >> Currently we don't have a function to get or set tab page variables >> (t:xyz). >> To set or get a tab page variable, you have to switch to that tab and >> then >> set/get the variable. >> >> The attached patch against Vim7.1.314 adds the gettabvar() and >> settabvar() functions to get or set a tab page variable.
