Sorry to bump a very old thread.

I write in reference to
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=219777 and
https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-engineering-services/ticket/12

As part of my work with Fedora Engineering Services I have been assigned
the task of revisiting the possibility of modifying vim to use the
hunspell dictionaries in an effort to save some space on our media. As
some of you would know some time ago a patch was submitted and at the
time Bram Moolenaar wrote:
Interesting idea.

It appears it doesn't handle words with non-words characters in them.

Would be a good idea to compare, both the quality and speed, for
checking and making suggestions. Especially for more complicated
languages.

The patch is crude, has a few hard-coded paths and hardly any comments,
but it's good for trying it out.

What I would like to ask at this stage is for some feedback on the best
way to accomplish this and any assistance, in terms of information,
examples, code, you may see fit to provide. I would like to get this
done in a manner that as many people as possible are happy with and that
can benefit as many in the community as possible.

Cheers,
Brad
