@Thilo: Thanks for the reminder!  I remember
receiving such patch from James Vega in 2009 and
somehow I forgot about it.  The patch at above link misses
replacing one instance of -g into \-g in vimtutor-fr.UTF-8.1
(fixed in attached patch).

@David: I'm indeed the current maintainer of the French
translations. The current French man page still contains...
