Because he was the maintainer. He wanted to remain the maintainer at the time of my rewrite. > That should reflect reality to avoid situations like this. The comment at the top of the file reflects the reality and all the credits. Many people contacted me based on that information. Who is the maintainer is not the issue here. The issue is that the new maintainer didn't base his changes off the most recent code. Rather, he is using an ancient Vim 6.1 as a base. Basically, it's like branching off a decade ago and now wanting to simply drop all the changes that happened in the meantime. The changes should be based off the current head of the development instead. If he does that, Dmitry may realize that not too many changes are actually needed. Zvezdan PS. I sent a patch for the current version (requested by a user to help him with indent in a Vim plugin he's writing) on Sunday to [email protected] and it's still not showing.
