I was using the vanilla archlinux packages which ship version 4.0.x. So, I compiled awesome from git (version 4.1.0 which came out yesterday) and the issue is gone. Just for the kicks I compiled an older version (4.0.x) and the issue was there too. So I think it is safe to assume that the issue is probably resolved in recent awesome versions. > Have you had the same issue with Awesome v3.x?
