I can reproduce (vim 8.0.771 running in gnome-terminal with
TERM=xterm-256color).

Note that when I first run :term bash, I can see the cursor -- but it
disappears as soon as I start typing.  Hitting Ctrl-W once makes the
cursor re-appear and start blinking again.
