Unfortunately, so long as this is hosted on sourceforge this is the only
way. The certificate is for sourceforge.io.
Moving to another (reliable!) server and getting a certificate for
vim.org is no small thing.
There are free services for certificates, especially for open source
projects. Would sourceforge allow the use of one if it could be
obtained?
