Second paragraph of the g_CTRL-G help.

There is:

If there are characters in the line that take more
than one position on the screen (<Tab> or special
character), both the "real" column and the screen
column are shown, separated with a dash.

I suggest:

If there are characters in the line that take more
than one position on the screen (<Tab> or special
character), or characters using more than one byte
per column (e.g. Unicode codepoints higher than
U+007F when 'encoding' is utf-8), both the
byte-of-line and the screen column are shown,
            separated by a dash.

Best regards,
Tony.
