For me, the new full screen activates quite an obtrusive animation
every time it activates and I don't like the presence of the toolbar
at the top of the screen when the menu is active. That being said,
this is what I have in my .gvimrc:
map <D-f> :set invfu<CR>
And by turning native full screen off I'm back where I started, which
is good. I'll continue to follow this, however.
