Currently in my use of MacVim, I will have used something like the following several times: 'mvim file-1 file-2 ... file-n'. The files in each instance will be related so that, knowing which file I want to edit, I know which instance it is in and can easily find its buffer.
Recently, I've been thinking that I could use tabbed editing. Thus instead of 3 Macvim instances, I could have a single MacVim instance with 3 tabs. However, I am having so much difficulty I am beginning to think that tabs must be used for some different purpose. For example, I cannot get a list of buffers in a given tab and buffers move between tabs. This never happened in my normal way of working. If someone knows how I could use tabs to achieve what I had before, I would be very pleased to hear how. If someone knows that my desire is unrealizable that would also be welcome - in a second best sort of way. Barrie. -- You received this message from the "vim_mac" maillist. Do not top-post!
