That's what I did, that's what I meant by "the behaviour that you

I don't have any good idea.

You could try what happens when the only line in your vimrc is the
"filetype plugin indent on", or if your .vim directory is empty (or
contains only the Erlang indent if you don't use Vim 7.2).
