if I'm not mistaken the problem modeline in ada.txt was de-problemized
some time ago -- I do believe the above autocmd is no longer necessary

a quick peek shows

vim: textwidth=78 nowrap tabstop=8 shiftwidth=4 softtabstop=4 noexpandtab
vim: filetype=help

at the end of that module -- no more encoding gotcha
