I tried that for a while, but there were just too many cases where 
it didn't work, usually in situations where the full path names to 
files were being exchanged either way between Windows vim and Cygwin 
tools.  Now I use both Windows and Cygwin vims, the choice depending 
on what I'm doing.  I use a common vimrc and vimfiles for both.
