We had a lengthy discussion about this a while back, where if I
remember correctly Bram himself stated that we needed to remain
friendly and helpful even in the face of repeat offenders. Others on
the list were discussing such things as banning or at least ignoring
willful violators, but after Bram's statement, we've just gone back to
friendly reminders after violations. Most users I've seen have
apologized and changed their ways out of politeness, but we will
always have others who ignore the reminders for one reason or another.
