Did you put the backslash in front of <CR>? regards, Christian Ok, yes, a backslash works w/normal. But I'm still confused - why doesn't any text show up on the screen when I don't use a <CR>? I would have thought that that would have happened (as it does when you forget a <CR> at the end of a map command..
