I have a .vimrc that I have used for years. I upgraded the system and now vim-enhanced is not interpreting the file the same way it used to. It seems to boil down to "syntax on" or "syntax enable" being in the file. Whenever one of them is present, it blows away settings like indentexpr that I have set in the .vimrc file. The position of the command does not seem to change the behavior.
What is the new way of setting syntax on as the default while retaining the proper, expected function of the .vimrc file? Thanks, Kevin -- You received this message from the "vim_use" maillist.
