Hi, I recently found that diff highlights have not allowed to be overwritten since this patch. 7.4.682 search and match highlighting replace cursorline highlighting
I have posted diffchar.vim plugin (http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=4932) for a year. This plugin traces the exact differences and show them by overwriting on diff highlights. Please see attached. after_diff.png is an example of just after diff mode. Text in red background and bold/italic/underline is the difference which vim displays. And then, before 7.4.682, %SDChar will show the exact differences as pre7.4.682. But after 7.4.682, it becomes like post7.4.682. The bold/italic/underline can not be overwritten and remains. I would like to ask you if this patch is reasonable or not. I am a bit surprised at such a sudden change of the behavior anyway. Yes, I should be able to do my best but not have a perfect workaround.
