Oncce you label an item, the label is stored in your vo prefs files.   
I think if you wanted to send this out, you would have to export the  
vo custom prefs.  to do this, open vo utility, find export submenu in  
the file menu right arrow and press enter on "custom..." and follow  
the prompts.
