Hi, guys.

I might have made some headway with Logic Pro today, but perhaps some of you
have already gotten further. Working with a sighted audio engineer friend,
I was able to mark every button and image--many of these aren't difficult to
mark if you listen long enough to hear the help tag, but those that didn't
have tags, my friend read to me..

I also found ways to move to each of the various four tabs in the ap, and my
friend explained in detail what is there. We renamed each of the screen
sets, so that I could remember what each one contained. My friend also
helped me set up a template with four virtual instrument tracks and four
audio tracks.

If I can figure out how, I'm happy to share my template and my newly-labeled
buttons, though I can't say it's all perfectly detailed yet...Logic, though
slimmer than earlier versions, is still quite a beast, and I'm not a
hard-core audio engineer, at least not yet, so there are some things which
don't quite yet make sense to me.

There are still many challenges with Logic Pro, though. I'm not sure yet
how much detailed editing we'll be able to do, but I'm working on figuring
it out. I have almost enough information for a guide, but also just enough
to be dangerous. So I'm going to continue to acquire more knowledge for a
few more days before I write anything down for others to read.

On the other hand, GB5's buttons all seem to be labeled, and the playhead is
recognized by vo. It does look like we'll have to continue to drop loops
into projects via an external numpad (or the Mac keyboard numpad) until
there's a way to drag and drop. But I'm still checking this out to make
sure I haven't missed anything.

If no one has anything else to add after a couple of days, I will do my best
to do a guide for GB5. I do, at least, feel like I have a better
understanding of the visual layout of the screen than I did with GB4. I
also think most items are much more easily accessible with SL in GB 5.
