I haven't tried the scripts with Logic 9, but I will tell you that I'm beginning to have some success making that version work. I previously posted my vo labels for Logic 9 on the vimac web site...I assume they're still there if anyone wants them. I've been working with a certified Logic guy at the Apple store, and we've uncovered some work-arounds for accomplishing various tasks. It's been slow going since I am new to Logic as a music-making program, but there are many similarities between Logic 9 and GB 5, so that's where we began. I have a two-hour session with the Logic guy on Monday and hope to conquer some more features of the program then.
Additionally, did you guys know that there is an ap for the ipad that will work as a control surface for Logic, Pro-Tools, and Performer? I don't know whether or not this ap is accessible as I don't have an iPad, but here's hoping. And it's only $10. Not bad for a control surface. Lol. I'd really love to hear about anyone's experience if they were able to get things up and running, whether its in Logic 8 or the questionable Logic 9. If I hear that things are running smoothly on Logic 8, it'll be good incentive for me to go ahead and get that version. I must say, any access is definitely better than none. Using scripts to get an application to be accessible is definitely not ideal, but it certainly is nice to have something. Here's crossing my fingers in hopes that somebody will have some good news. Still, if Apple would fix the accessibility problems in Logic already, then we wouldn't need scripts. It's an inferior approach, but anything that surpasses the tape recorder type editing of Garage Band has got to be applauded. > > Logic isn't even very broken.
