The scripts are only for Logic Pro, only at a 15" or 17" wide screen display, and only work with version 8.
You're right, most of the program talks just fine, except for any controls for modifying the mixing settings, or for modifying recorded regions. So, mixing and region editing are out. There aren't any keyboard shortcuts to do what we need to do in those areas, either. Unless you're going to try and track down all of the old software versions, then your only other half-way-working approach is to buy a hardware-based control surface with Logic support. Even then, you'll be confused, as the surfaces use buttons that serve as multi-stage rotars, without any way of returning to a known or home state. All of this stuff will be bettter later this year. Apple will improve direct access in the program, and we'll have another program that will provide speech feedback for control surfaces.
