Every now and then I decide I have to use some strange unix program,  
like R, for statistics.  Then I realize that to use it I have to get  
all the platform stuff and configs all set up, and by then I usually  
have a severe attack of sanity and say screw that, and I remember  
what    said,
"If you think about something long enough, you don't have to  
calculate anything."
I think John Archibald Wheeler said that.

So, right now I'm happy with settiing up different types of causal  
models for naturalistic settings while waiting for the data to be  
double verified, prior to final sweeps for outlyers and such.
