Old style video out is a DA15, there is no such thing as a DB15.


Most Mac video on pre-quadra machines used Sync-On-Green only.  That is 
the sync signal was embedded in the green video channel.  Most VGA 
monitors use separate sync, the sync signals are carried on one or two 
dedicated pins.  There were a few VGA monitors that could use 
Sync-On-Green but they are quite rare.
