Some people call a faucet a "tap" or "water tap". Of all the Canon printers I've owned, just one printhead has gone bad. Canon printheads are *almost* indestructable. Don't put them in a pan and boil them. I know someone who had a small publishing business and tried that to get a few non-working nozzles unplugged, just completely ruined the printhead. Some Canon printheads can be taken apart for easier flushing. They have alignment pegs so they go back together properly.
