That's probably because, in my own experience, this was one of the more despised, scorned, and generally unloved Apple keyboards. I say this because the introduction of this model was, more or less, Apple's way of telling people that it no longer cared about keyboards. If you compare 'n contrast this keyboard with its predecessor, (the M0116) it doesn't take long to see that Apple decided to implement some serious cost-cutting here. This is not to say that the cost-cutting wasn't at all warranted, just that the introduction of this keyboard marked a departure from Apple's usual bomb-proof models in favor of something cheaper. And not everyone was pleased by the departure. Granted, the compact form factor of this keyboard is kind of nice. It's just that, for extended typing sessions, I don't recall too many people who (budget permitting) didn't abandon this particular keyboard for a different one the first chance they got. All that aside, I can understand why you might want to get this thing fixed. This was the keyboard that came stock with my Classic and, if nothing else, it's nice to have the original peripherals on hand, even if they don't happen to be your particular favorites. >Returning the face, key cap and spring to original positions seems simple >>enough, getting the key clip correctly placed is not so simple. Sorry, by "key clip," do you mean the wire that was under, IIRC, the tab, space bar, and return keys?
