Considering that MacBook can't be bothered to trim quoted text,
including list footers, and posts pictures to the list which is
specifically against the list rules, I don't have any sympathy when he
calls someone else rude for pointing out his rude behaviour.

The low end Mac lists specifically forbid attachments. No
attachments.

Trim quoted text. I've seen several questions in the last couple of
weeks to which I knew the answer, which I ignored because the folks
involved can't be bothered with basic courtesy, i.e. taking a moment
to trim text before posting. This list is quickly becoming
unreadable.

I still respond to a non-trimmer if he/she appears to be newish and
probably never had anyone gently explain the rules. But I then do
explain about trimming and if they don't, I never respond to another
of their questions.

You wouldn't throw garbage on someone's living room floor, would you?
Why is it okay to fail to trim quoted text?

But to call someone else rude, for pointing out that the name-caller
blatantly violated the rules to the inconvenience of hundreds of other
people, is just setting justice on its head.
