I am trying to restore a Quadra 610 to working order.

When powered on
- the led is lit
- the hard drive spins up
- the startup sound is heard
[both drives are empty]

But then
- no video shows
- I get a sequence of 8 tones
The first four are a rising sequence in a major scale, the next four
are varied and seem to be minor scale increments.

The monitor and cable is known to be working (is fine on my pc).
The db15->vga converter dongle is not yet known to be working -- don't
have anything else to try it with yet.

Presumably these tones are trying to tell me why I'm not getting
video. Can anyone point me at a site or information that would let me
decode the tones?

Thanks,

Martyn Lovell
