I have almost the same problem as the other recent poster except: I wanted to upgrade my stock CC with an LC 575 motherboard with 68mb RAM, 1mb video ram and put in a 250mb hard drive with system 8.1
System starts to boot then comes up with the same bus error message as the other poster. So I hold down the shift key and try to boot without the extensions and does not work. Have tried two different LC 575 mother boards and two different hard drives both with system 8.1 with no luck. Have poured over the FAQ's and cannot find anything that relates to this.
