Just FYI - I have tried that, and OS 7 and 10.5 won't cooperate... I
don't think 10.6 will talk with whatever you're running on your
Classic... However, what I've found helpful is a "bridge" machine like
the G3 Minitower; it has serial ports, and can dual boot OS9 and OSX
(even 10.4 with Xpost) which is very helpful for file transfers
between classic OS's and OSX. (It also has a floppy drive, if
Appletalk won't talk to the older systems) So basically, I boot in
OSX, put files on it that I downloaded/have on my iMac, then boot in
in OS9, transfer the files using AppleTalk. (And vice-versa for
transferring the other way) I use this method to get files to my Mac
Plus, PB Duo, IIsi, etc.
Hope that's helpful.
