The early 90's devloper disks had systems going all the way back to .1. One of the reasons I've kept my 128k (but my brother turned it to a 512KE) is to someday play with these. I want to say that they have .1 to .9, then 1.0, 2.x, and so forth, but it's been over fifteen years . . . But I'm sure that I couldn't have thrown away "Night of the Living Disk" :) [The developer cds at the time had this type of smart-aleck moviesh names. Also "Lord of The Files.".] Have I mentioned recently that I'll offer a complete MacPortable backlit 4/40 (I've found the bottom! It worked before the fuse blew, but it doesn't seem to now :( ), a performa 475 (I think), another pizzabox believed to be a fairly early powermac (no front plate, but an IOU to send it if I ever find it), a 640x480 mac monitor believe d to work, a 40M or 80M drive that belonged to one of the last two computers, a scsi zip dive, any stray sims I can find (out of 8x1M, and a few others), and (drumroll, please!) an original scsi cd drive (you get to figure out how to use the potentiometer to fix the timing) to anyone who can make an image of the hard drive from the portable. The catch is that this drive can't leave my possession until blank, as it is believed to have old client information on it. I'd also want a few diskettes read . . . And if there's an Imagewriter II around, I'll throw that in (I really don't know). Oh, and a Deskwriter from the first batch shipped with appletalk, and howevermany cartridges I can come up for it. (No promises that all the pieces are there for that one, but I think so). I can be found almost anytime in Las Vegas, but am on occasion in San Jose (usually Christmas), Phoenix (sporadically), and San Diego (once a year or so, but I control when). -- These opinions are mine. Noone else may have them without paying my retainer. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are a member of the Vintage Macs group.
