Hi, My IIe has a disk drive connected so I'm assuming it has a controller card already.( The single drive was one I bought a week or so earlier and had a cable attached which fit the comp. perfectly and I have run it ever since.) When I got the Duo disk drive and the computer, the comp already had a cable hanging out the back connected to a Grappler Plus card but the other end of the flat cable had a connector which I assume was put on later. It doesn't fit anything. Hope this makes sense.

It's not a standard cable, nothing as common as a parallel printer cable or SCSI cable. If nobody on the swap list has one for you, I'd set up an eBay favorite search for "duodisk". When a seller lists a duodisk drive with the cable included, you could buy the whole thing, keep the cable, and re-sell or recycle the extra drive. Or ask the seller (before you bid) if they would send you just the cable to save on shipping. They might be happy to re-list the drive alone and make more money. I'm 95% sure I have a duodisk cable in my summer home (okay, my parents' basement) but that's 1000 miles away and I don't know when the next time I'll get out there will be. Let me know off-list if you can't find one anywhere else... Finally, have you checked to make sure your //e has a compatible disk drive controller card installed? I'm not sure if all of the controller cards had the right connector and logic to run a duodisk. Good luck!
