I have a small collection of Micron systems in my parent's basement,
most of them are Pentium or Pentium MMX systems. The amazing part is
that they all have full banks of matching Micron memory (not to
mention that 90% of the board is made by Micron, with their own chips)
I haven't used a more stable configuration (which is surprising,
seeing as I own a small collection of Beige beast Macs)
Their Memory division makes memory for nearly everything. I have flash
disks, GFX cards, even Wifi and E-Net routers that have Micron in
them.
It would be worth it to send them a letter (not an email) to see if
somewhere in their vault is the plans for those custom chips...
