Or, click on/ highlight the share and simultaneously press "CMD" + "Y," which is the Finder shortcut for the command "put away." I suppose that you could do the same thing from the menus, but that's too much trouble for me, and I have done it the shortcut way for too many years to remember the menus. Dragging the share to the Trash is the graphical way to do the same thing.
Gotta get to know how the old Finder works to appreciate it.
