Need help. I removed the motherboard from my mac se to replace the clock battery.
upon removal of the motherboard I unplugged the speaker cable. the cable has room for 2 connections (a + and a - ?), but the motherboard has 3 pins to recieve the connection of the cable. I've tried every combination. 1&2 of 3, 2&3 of 3, and reverse 2&1 of 3, and 3&2 of 3. No order of connection of the sound cable to the motherboard again will make the mac se sound again the startup bong thru the system speaker. But when I connect a headset to the sound port I hear it just fine. Any Ideas? Malectic. -- ----- You received this message because you are a member of the Vintage Macs group.
