That's the HDI-45 port. It combines video and audio out with ADB and microphone in plus an unused audio line in. There was only one monitor made for it, the 14" AV monitor with built in mic, speakers and two ADB ports, plus a plugged up line in port. Only the three models of x100 PowerMacs and some of the clones based on them used the HDI-45 port. Adapters were made to use normal monitors with the computers and "hydra" or "squid" cables were made to connect those monitors to other Macs. > Also, it has this odd little port that the IT guy said was > an ethernet port. The most common adapter converts it to a 10 Base-T RJ45 port but anything that'll connect to a normal 15 pin AUI can connect to AAUI, provided anyone bothered to make an AAUI version. I dunno if there's an AAUI to AUI adapter. As for getting the lid off, have you looked for a screw somewhere around the middle of the top rear of the lid?
