Maybe just a coincidence but I have had four of these power supplies die in the
last year or two. Two in a Mac IIci and two in a 7100. Maybe these PS's are
nearing the end of their life expectancy?? All the failed Power supplies
sported
the ASTEC label.
Being out of spare power supplies I shut down the IIci; replaced the 7100 with
a
faster G3'd 6100 with twice the RAM, but I miss the VRAM the 7100 had.
When time permits I will replace the old IIci duties with that 6100. And take
an
extra 7500 out of storage to take over the original 7100 duties. --glen
