Hi Scott and Joshua, I managed to install my DaynaPORT SCSI/LINK (with Coax cableing an and old Coax/RJ45 10MB hub...)on my Plus and I'm now connected to the internet with System 7.0!
My Plus has only 2MB on board so I have to use a very simple System setup with not to much loaded. I'm running HTTP4Mac on it and everything works fine. You can reach the server on: http://macplus.vanegten.com Remember that HTTP4Mac only accepts HTTP/1.0 calls...so use an old browser like Netscape 2.0 or a Linux text only browser like Lynx (or MacLynx on your Mac). If you try it with a modern browser you will also get a reply. It will tell you: 400 Bad Request Sorry your client issued a bad request. I will leave my Mac Plus server on for at least today. Now I'm ready for the challange to set up a web server with System 6.0.8 only.... Would be great if this would work! I can't say whether or not 1 meg of RAM (since I assume you meant 1024KB and not 1024MB, as much as a 1GB 512ke would be ;) ) is enough to run it but might be worth a shot. Somewhere I built a couple disk images intended to be used on a dual-Superdrive Classic/etc that provided a very slim System 7 with MacTCP on one and the server and files to be served on another. Worked nicely for a hobbybox for awhile before I moved on to my Quadra-running-Linux server that served me well for awhile.
