Look for HD SC Setup on your external drive. If you had System 7.5 or newer it would be Drive Setup. HD SC = Hard Drive SCsi. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_HD_SC_Setup Once you get the internal drive formatted and it's mounted on the desktop, doubleclick the icon for the external drive, select everything and drag it to the icon for the internal drive to copy it. Hopefully you have Drag Manager on the external. How did people copy files on Macintosh before there was Drag and Drop??? System 7: Key Combination Shortcuts and Tips http://support.apple.com/kb/TA28141?viewlocale=en_US If you have any files or aliases on the desktop, copy them to the new hard drive. Shut down, disconnect the external then boot up. It should boot from the internal drive. -- ----- You received this message because you are a member of the Vintage Macs group.
