Others have answered well.

Be aware that OS 7.5, running TCP/IP, cannot share files with Mac OS X versions 
above 10.3.9 which is pretty old as OSX goes.  Apple turned that off with Tiger.

You will be able to use ftp though. Stairways'  WebPresenze and Anarchie -> 
Interarchy can still be found for OS 7.5.

Something you could consider is an old modem with which you could communicate 
with a modem on a larger machine without bothering the telephone Co. Just plug 
in phone port to phone port.

My SE/30 has been my file server that way for a bunch of years. It has a plug 
in slot for the ethernet card though.
