I have a Mac classic II that runs quite well except for the lack of sound. I have washed the motherboard which restored the computer to its current functionality. I have a backup copy of the entire hard drive on a much newer computer and I can run files from this computer in classic mode on a Mac Mini but when I try the sound control panel on this other machine, the recorded alert sounds that I made 20 years ago do not appear. Where are the actual sound files stored and how can I find them in the system folder. The recorded alerts include my children's voices and deceased relatives. Surely there is a way to get at these sound files. I know the sound files are there because if I hook up headphones and play the alert sounds at maximum volume, I can just barely hear them.
