Actually, please -don't- do that.  At least, not just yet.

...to get an overview of some of the things that can go wrong with vintage Macs 
like yours.  At the very least, you are likely to be better off (safely) 
opening up the case, first, and checking to see what sort of shape the 
motherboard is in after all these years before you power it up for the first 
time.
