Some progress: I left offf the bs= and skip=,and this time got a
usable disk, with a usable application.

Well,sort of.

It executed, and announced that it was damaged and needed a new copy
installed fromthe locked master disk.

Which was about when it occurred to me that this was Norton.

*bang*, *bang*, *bang*

It's Norton that my masters still work for. It's SUM II, disk 2, SUM
Recover that has a whole in the floppy.

*argh*

Does anyone still have a copy we could try?

thanks.
