Hi, John. This is my standard procedure on all my Macs and PCs. Yes, with the right (last) version of Drive Setup or FWB. Be prepared for the problems, though. OS 7.5.3 Revision 2 can't read HFS+, so your 8.5 and 9.1 (recommended) won't be visible or transferable from 7.5.3 R2, you will need to boot back into 8.5 or 9.1 to transfer files to/ from that volume without some translation software, which I don't know about.
I have a PM 9600 with an XLR8 G3 500 mHz card. OS 9.2.2 gave me problems. Workable, but problematic with all of the "this software HATES your computer" messages. OS 9.1 was much more stable and practical.
