Hi Chad and other list members, I have a vintage original Macintosh that I bought within the first 100 days (member of the "100 day club") back in 1984 while attending school at Syracuse University. I have not seen it personally but I believe the inside of the case is signed by the design team including Steve Jobs. I had it upgraded to a "fat" Mac (512K) shortly after purchase. I also purchased and had installed a General Computer 20 MB "hiper drive" that I paid $2,700 for back in 1985 dollars (got tired of swaping disks)! I also have a "super fast" 1200 baud Apple modem that came in handy during late night programming class assignments. It no longer boots off the hiper drive but it will boot from the 400k floppy disk drive and the screen is fine. I also have the original carrying case, the original image writer with a ribbon still in the box, original mouse and original keyboard. I would rather not part with it with the hiper drive still installed as I do not know what personal information is still on the drive and have no way to wipe it clean and I don't have the tools to open it or know where to take it to have it removed. Let me know if you or anyone else on the list is interested. I live in Tallahassee, FL. On a side note, something a bit ironic is that this is the only Apple product I have ever purchsed and I loved the machine! I also could have bought Apple stock at $8.00 but bought Microsoft instead and have been crying ever since... - Mike

Would be interested in various models so if you have something available let me know. Thanks everyone! -- ----- You received this message because you are a member of the Vintage Macs group.
