It had always been a dream of mine to open a Museum for old computers that
people could visit and become acqainted with the machines
and operating systems that got us to here from there. Both Macs and PCs.

As I age, that dream is dissipating somewhat for lack of time, resources and
energy. But I would still recommend collecting Old Macs, either
by age, type or processor, or just all that are still within financial and
existential grasp.

Amass, adopt and rebuild to usable and visually pleasing condition. For me
facing a looming choice of retirement or continued employment, hating the
thought of doing zero, I still wish to be holed up in a big warehouse with the
acrid smells of solder and old plastic saturating the air.

So, recycle? I wouldn't. Your circumstances will differ, certainly. But the
time I spent 'refurbing' Old Macs in the 90s was very cathartic and
therapeutic; getting me more easily through a tough time in my marriage and
life.
