Haha,i agree, the fix is definitely not for the light-hearted, haha... your best bet is to get one of those scsi to SD, adapters there's a gentleman that was selling on eBay but he now has his own website I forget the name of the website but between 60 and 70 bucks you can't go wrong, the guy is based in California and is a good guy that sells those.
