Would you provide the model number please?
It's only because 'Classic Mac' and 'Compact Mac" tend to be interchangeable
and essentially refer to the rectangular box, 9" black and white screen, all in
one computer.
There were 11 models of 'Classic Macs' with minor sub models. It would help to
narrow down the details of the part you require. Generally, the crystal
oscillators run at twice the frequency of the CPU. For example, a 8MHz CPU has
a crystal oscillator running at ~16MHz. There will be a tolerance for the
accuracy of the oscillator. Similarly for the CPU. It may be labelled as an
8MHz CPU but may run at 7.98MHz.
As far as I can see, in most images, Y1 refers to a crystal oscillator marked
"F1JAPAN" but with no other markings as to its value.
(vCOM) Verified on a board at Cult of Mac - location B1. Y1 unverified but it's
an 8MHz CPU, Y1 is 15.6672MHz.(vDB) Verified on a schematic at Digibarn.com -
Locations D4 & D1(vWM) Verified on a board at Wikimedia - Locations B10 &
E10(vCCA) Verified at CCAdams.org - Locations B10 & E10(vi2WP) Verified at
i2.WP.com -
(vFF) Verified at FairfieldElectronics.ca(vCM) Verified at
ClassicMacs.com(vINANIS) Verified at inanis.net - Y1 Upper Left corner.
The original Macintosh or '128k' - CPU 8MHz - Suspect Y1 = 15.6672MHz, U20 =
15.6672MHz. (vCOM)
Macintosh 512k - 8MHz - Suspect Y1 = 15.6672MHz, Y2 = 15.667200MHz.
(vDB)Macintosh 512ke - 8MHz - Suspect Y1 = 15.6672MHz, Y2 = 15.667200MHz. (vDB)
Macintosh Plus - 8MHz - Suspect Y1 = 15.6672MHz, X = 15.667200MHz. (vWM)
Macintosh SE - 8MHz - SuspectY 1 = 15.6672MHz, X = 15.667200MHz.
(vCCA)Macintosh SE FDHD - 8MHz - Suspect Y1 = 15.6672MHz, X = 15.667200MHz.
(vCCA)
Macintosh SE/30 - 16MHz - Suspect Y1 = 31.3344MHz, Y2 = 31.3344MHz, Y3 =
147-39(?). (vi2WP)
Macintosh Classic - 8MHz - Suspect Y1 = 15.6672MHz, G1 = 15.6672MHz. (vFF)
Macintosh Classic II - 16MHz - Suspect Y1 = 31.3344MHz, G1 = 31.3344MHz. (vCM)
Macintosh Color Classic - 16MHz - Y1 = S3256E, G1 = 31.3344MHz. (vINANIS)
Suspect Y1 is 31.3344MHz.
Macintosh Color Classic II - sold mainly in Japan. -  33MHz. No data for
oscillator frequency.
Hope this helps you and others,

My Classic Mac went to a checkerboard after I dusted the system. Time for
replacement capicitors and a good clean. On my board, my Y1 oscillator is very
corroded and damaged. I'm struggling to find it's specs (Can't read it) to get
a replacement to attach while I'm doing the caps.
Anyone have tips for where to start?
