These small capacitors around the apple sound chip go bad with age.  
Suggest replace them.  I always find few of them when I'm recapping 
my logic boards.

The spreaker is not standard item.  It's 16 Ohms, some other models 
like IIci, etc used 32ohms type.   Ugh!
